Schumacher, a senior right hander from Nebraska City, went 2-0 last week with a 0.00 ERA in a pair of starts while pitching on just three days rest. He allowed only two hits in six innings in last Wednesday's 8-0 win over Southwest Minnesota State and followed that on Sunday with a complete game, four hitter in a 3-0 win over Bemidji State. With the two wins, Schumacher set a new single season WSC record with his twelfth win, breaking the previous mark of eleven wins set by Nate Miller in the 2004 season. In other Wayne State baseball news, the Wildcats will host the NSIC Tournament starting on Thursday. They will play Winona State at 1:00. Other matchups pit Bemidji State versus Upper Iowa and Concordia St. Paul playing Southwest Minnesota State. The Tournament will conclude on Saturday.
