PIERCE - The Willow Creek Reservoir is getting a clean bill of health. Samples taken at the lake near Pierce last month were above the state's health alert threshold of 20 parts per billion of total Microcystins. But Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality Deputy Director Tom Lamberton says the latest test results show lower levels. He tells WJAG NEWS lakes that are on the health alert must have two consecutive weeks of readings below 20 parts per billion before the alert is removed. Lamberton says Willow Creek Lake has met that criteria is no longer under health alert.
