Bond Set in Double Murder

LINCOLN (AP) - Bail has been set at $5 million for a man who also is suspected in the slayings of a rural Lancaster County couple. Judge Jean Lovell of Lancaster County Court set the bail Wednesday for Brandon Crago, who was charged with robbery, use of a weapon to commit a felony, felony possession of a firearm and theft by unlawful taking. Crago could get out of jail if he comes up with 10 percent of the $5 million, or $500,000. Homicide charges have not been filed yet in the slayings of Carolyn and Steve Baily, whose bodies were found Sunday. Sheriff Terry Wagner says more charges against Crago are expected. Officials believe the slayings were connected to a pair of car thefts earlier Sunday.
